We’ve all heard of things not to feed our dog. Here is my top 8 list: (on the fridge, in the kitchen) to make sure.
1. Chocolate- would over stimulate nervous system & heart
2. Raisins- grapes also, will damage kidneys
3. Garlic\Onions- causes anemia, damaging their itsy bitsy red blood cells
4. Sugar-free gum- the xylitol (sugar alcohol) will increase insulin secretion
5. Alcoholic Drinks- depresses nervous system (duh!)
6. Raw Yeast- in bread dough, causes alcohol poisoning
7. Macadamia Nuts- causes muscle & nervous system damage
8. Avocados- damages their heart muscles

Reblogged this on Basil Wheel.

after reading this by rayya the vet (http://rayyathevet.com/2012/01/28/the-big-heat-wave/), i really want to learn more about “hot” tips for extreme weather conditions? right now, it’s VERY cold here, and i often wonder, when the thermometers hit nine degrees fahrenheit, is it too cold for my princess? and same is true for the heat. when is too hot?
Hey Nicole, got the link last night and I’m working on the next post. Stay tuned– and I’ll send you a message. (Probably tomorrow)
